EMMS users’ workshop

The effects of heterogeneous dynamic structures within a computational cell (or, sub-grid structure) is critical to computational fluid dynamics (CFD) for CFB simulations. In recent years we have witnessed a blossom of sub-grid structure modellings in various applications, among which, the energy-minimization multi-scale (EMMS) modelling of interphase momentum, heat/mass transfer and reactions has found successful applications as shown at the past series of conferences of CFB and FBC. However, difficulties were occasionally encountered by users and improvements are needed.

CFB-12 will organize a 2-hour workshop on EMMS Modelling to address these difficulties and for users to exchange experience.
